I had a great time exploring the area around the castle. The hiking trails were suitable for beginners and offered beautiful views. I enjoyed my meal at the restaurant, and they were accommodating when I had a late check-in. I appreciated the cold plate they prepared for me when I arrived after hours. Being someone who enjoys art history, I found the atmosphere very pleasing with the touching details throughout the property.

Some issues arose with the assigned dining room arrangement and access cards, which created minor inconveniences.

Staying in a historically themed room transported me back in time! The amazing views from my room overlooking the serene lake were lovely. I also fell in love with the unique experience of paddle boating on the pristine lake, which was a fantastic bonus!

The suite I stayed in, "Amalia from Braunschweig," was beautifully decorated with antique furnishings, providing a unique and historical ambiance. The breathtaking bathroom and the enjoyable dining experience, particularly the taste of the local beef at dinner, made my stay exceptional. The castle’s picturesque setting next to the lake and the serene atmosphere added to the overall charm, creating a perfect environment for relaxation after work.

The room was close to the terrace, which could be noisy at times.

We made so many memories here, especially when we explored the old castle ruins and enjoyed the best ice cream ever made from local milk. The beach access and sun terrace were perfect for relaxing after our adventures. Just a heads up, the WiFi could be a bit spotty at times, but it didn't take away from our awesome experience! 😊

Great outdoor dining by the lake, but laundry service was slow.

I stayed in the King Ludwig II room, and it was absolutely magnificent! The decor was so rich with history, featuring period furniture that truly made me feel like royalty. The space was huge, with three bedrooms and a fantastic living area. There was a little musty smell, but it just added to the castle vibe. The views from the room were breathtaking, overlooking the crystal-clear lake and surrounding scenery. Definitely a unique experience!
